The group Cedar Ridge used to be one of my favorites.I haven't heard
anything about them in a few years.I know the mother(Viola Treece) that
started the group and sang with them passed away a few years back.I'm
thinking(although,not positive)that when I read the obituary in The
Singing News that the group would go on singing.However I haven't heard
anything about them since.I know they were on Morningstar Records,but do
not know of any project that might have came out or haven't seen a
touring schedule in any of the magazines.Also,Jeff Treece(Viola's
son)was with them,then played piano for The McKameys for awhile.After he
left The McKameys,I'm not sure he rejoined Cedar Ridge or not.And Jeff's
wife Karen was with the group and left to sing backup for Tammy
Wynette.Since Tammy Wynettes passing I'm not sure what she is doing.She
wrote alot of the groups songs when she was with them and was a very
talented singer.If anyone knows anything about Cedar Ridge,please post
or if you know where I might can find out,let me know.Any help would be
appreciated.
