It's old enough that it's in the public domain. I've seen the title listed
both ways. On the self-titled Take 6 CD, it's called "If We Ever."

We also have it in a choral book at church where it's listed as "We Sure Do
Need Him Now." I guess they were trying to make the title sound "whiter" by
fixing the spelling of "sho." :o)

Whatever.....it's called it's a good quartet song. I guess I was
mainly going by what I've heard quartets call it for about 60 years,
and the way it's usually listed on albums.

Then if I were asked do you know "You Sho Do Need Him Now"? I'd say
"SURE,I don't know how many times I've heard that." So what is the
correct title?

toupees. After he got older, they started looking more and more like a
dead animal on his head. Is it just impossible to get a good rug once

It is possible. I know several people that wear rugs and virtually nobody
knows. But be prepared to spend some bucks, and furthermore be willing to
devote some time each morning to getting it blended perfectly.

And when I say, "spend some bucks'... I'm talking 4 figures with no decimal
points.

AS you know (cause I know you've visited our groups website, and thanks for
that, as well as your kind comments in our guestbook)...  but regarding
hair, at 54 y/old, I just shaved what was left off completely, and every two
days I shave it again!!!!  LOL
It's the best, easiest to care for hair style I've ever had, and I suspect
will be what I'm wearing when they plant me in the ground!!!

Willy, yours might not be a bad idea. A bald man (without a toupee of
course) goes out on a windy day and don't have to worry about the wind
making his hair wavy (the hair in front stands up and waves at the
hair in back). One time my uncle who was bald saw me when my hair was
really messed up, and said "everytime I see someone's hair looking
like that, it makes me glad I'm bald." And when he was younger he had
his haircut where it was about 1/2" on top and he said "I like it like
this-I can wash it with a washcloth, and comb it with a towel."

I agree James. I used to have to keep the windows up on the car if I was
going anywhere that I needed to look presentable... my hair was SO fine,
even with a LOT of hairspray, it still couldn't handle wind. If I was to
lean my head against something, it would mess it up and stayed messed all
day. Couldn't comb it out and make it look like anything decent once it was
"fixed"of the morning.

So the freedom to drive around with my windows down, or lay down on the
couch for a few minutes, and not have to even give a thought to my hair is
just WONDERFUL.

I was always interested in a hair transplant, but after getting what
little hair I had buzzed off about 5 years ago, I don't think I'll
ever consider it again. For me, no hair means one less thing to be

Hair transplants seem to be the way to go, if you have enough hair left,
have the money, and can stand the pain.

If I ever go bald, I hope I'll just have the grace to go with it. I've
know some people (including some of my bosses) who have done that, and I
thought they looked better than most people with hairpieces, and I
certainly didn't think any the less of them or respect them any less for
not having hair.

Who has more dignity: Patrick Stewart, or William Shatner?

I did the same thing Grigs, and agree with you completely. After years of
hair spray and gels and all that crap, I just LOVE being bald. One of they
guys in our group wears a piece (and thinks none of us knows it, it's
hilarious at times)... he either is wearing a ball cap pulled down to his
ears or has the piece on when we're on stage. And I'll admit, almost no one
would ever know it, (though I spotted it the instant I met him cause I have
"the eye" for those things!!! lol), anyhow, for all the time and effort he
puts into that thing, there's just NO WAY I could ever do it.

He has to blend it in, then spray all of his hair so it will be the same
color - it's bound to take an hour or so just to get it all fixed up.

Are you kidding me.... there is so NO WAY I would ever do that.

At the same time, there's no way I'd be wearing one of those pieces that
screams "look at me, I'm a rug"... either.

You just wonder what the other people are thinking. I mean, I loved Jake
Hess, but I used to tell my sister that if I ever went bald and got a
rug as bad as Jakes's, that I wanted her to slap me silly.

Jimmy Stewart's toupees always looked good. One thing was that he always
had them in an age-appropriate color. Nothing looks worse than a
middle-aged man with a jet-black rug on the top of his head, with gray
wisps poking out on the sides. Jake was guilty of that in his Master's V
period.

I'm always amazed that otherwise intelligent people don't seem to get
this. I visited a church couple of months ago, and it was a large,
beautiful church. The pastor (an otherwise distinguished man in his 70s)
was clearly a man of vision and a Bible scholar. Yet I could not help
but be distracted by his jet black toupee. I couldn't understand why he
wouldn't simply wear one, as you say, in an age-appropriate color. He
would have improved his appearance 100%.

Sometimes it's best to let sleeping dogs lie
Master's V were no dogs. If you spent your time listening to SG
instead of making a fool of yourself on the internet, you'd know this.
Me having fun at the expense of your silly little "look at my purdy
newsgroup where I post under 15 different names" threads is one thing.
Messing with threads about SG legends is another.

I've just been playing with you up until now. Don't get me mad, top
poster.
