One of the Toney Brothers sang at my grandfather's funeral back in 1953
in Detroit. I think it was Alden. Does anyone know when he was born?

Tom, I should have phrased my question better, Dan Huskey was the
Blackwood tenor after Alden Toney, but I meant who replaced Alden
Toney in the Toney Bros. Sorry for my mistake.

Who replaced Alden Toney at tenor?
When Alden Toney left the group he was replaced by his brother Kyer Toney who moved from baritone to tenor. Another brother Bob Toney moved from bass to baritone and their younger brother Gary Toney stepped up to the bass position. Mr Toney frequently still sang with the quartet at Gilead Baptist Church, which at the time was located in Allen Park, Mi. As his nephew I can tell you without hesitation he was well loved and is still very much missed.
