I love seeing the YouTube videos of the old quartets (thanks to Dean
Adkins, Mark Cash, et al).

There are a few singers I've never seen though and I'm wondering if
anyone knows if there are videos of Cat Freeman, Connor Hall, Acyl
Soward, or Jim Waits.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom,

There aren't many videos by those guys. I've never seen a video of
Aycel Soward.

In my years of collecting, I have seen four Statesmen songs on video
with Cat Freeman. They were recorded by Lee Roy Abernathy around 1950
for a movie.

I have a few concerts of a later version of the Homeland Harmony with
Connor Hall that was recorded at old timers night at the Joyful
Noise. Quality isn't very good. One Grand Ole Gospel Reunion video
(maybe 1989) featured Connor with the Homeland Harmony.

I've only seen one song by the Rebels with Big Jim Waits. It's "I
Wouldn't Take Nothing for My Journey Now" and was recorded for Singing
Time in Dixie. This was the second time Waits was with the Rebels.

Maybe when I get a bit smarter, I'll figure out how to put them on You
Tube.

Thank you and I am glad you enjoy the videos.

I do remeber Connor singing at the GOGR but couldn't remeber the
year. John, I think you are right, it was probably 1989, and as luck
would have it my 1989 tapes got ruined!!

Sorry about your 1989 tapes. I believe that was the five tape set. I
had to replace my 1988 tapes a few years ago.

I just went to the GOGR website. The 1989 tapes are available, but at
$94 for the set I'll have to wait a while longer to see Connor Hall!

I also had to replace my 1988 ones. I spoke with someone on their
office a month or so back and she said they wre plannig to re-release
the older ones on DVD soon. So I decided to hold off until they do
and then purchase the 1989 ones on DVD.

McKameys, so on and so forth.

Someone just point me in the right direction~
